Spellslinger cast order and some tips

I'm trying to make a spellslinger boom-zoom discharge build. But I can't find reliable data about order in which spells from spellslinger are cast. Some says it is cast sumultaneously. Some says global trigger order should work. But in my experience bodyswap always trigger before discharge because discharge explodes at the destination location (which is just fine). The most important question for me is how does it accounts with elemental equilibrium? I use some cold spells to generate charges and to trigger EE (while discharge hits with lightning and fire damage only). But those spells really seem like cast simultaneously. So do they trigger EE for each spell individually?

If multiple trigger gems are socketed in several equipped items the order will be:

Main hand ⇒ Amulet ⇒ Helm ⇒ Off hand ⇒ Body armour ⇒ Gloves ⇒ Boots

I can honestly say there is something strange going on with the triggers for Spellslinger.

I have desecrate in helmet, and volatile dead in body armour. The first attack never spawns volatile dead. Never. I tried swapping them between helmet and body armour and same outcome. Desecrate always goes off, and volatile dead does not (at least not in a way that creates the flaming balls).

Some clarity on this matter would help from GGG because it's not following the rules as they've described in the past from what I've seen.
Thanks for all the fish!
You can only trigger one per attack. So unless there are already corpses nearby and VD is first up in your trigger chain, you're never going to trigger it on first attack.

Got it. Thank you.

Another thing that can also cause confusion, especially with triggered Desecrate/Unearth+VD setups, is that the game remembers the position of your last triggered skill until you change zones. Stopping combat, moving on, and starting again elsewhere doesn't reset it.

Depending on how many skill triggers you have going and where you stopped in the chain, it can take a few attacks to cycle back through and proc your VD again.

You can trigger as many spells at once with spellslinger as you want. At least I gain 4 power charges from romira's banquet per attack with 3 spells linked with spellslinger (bodyswap, cold snap, ice nova).

It doesn't seem to work with spellslinger. For example corpse creating skills are always cast after any corpse consuming spells. Bodyswap is always cast before nova spells. No matter where are they socketed.
Ah, surprising they didn't add in an internal cooldown for the Spellslinger trigger. Hadn't noticed that. That could definitely make the cast order for corpse-dependent skills more screwy, because anything being cast that way is ignoring the normal trigger order.

Everything linked to Spellslinger is being cast at the same time, and all Spellslinger casts fire off before other triggers.

Confirmed by sticking Desecrate in a mainhand Poet's, Unearth in an offhand Poets, and 5 different skills linked to Spellslingers. All 5 Spellslingers cast together on first attack, followed by Desecrate. Then all 5 Spellslingers followed by Unearth on second attack. (Can see the time delay by loading them all up on the skillbar.)

Yeah exactly. And now my question is: does the elemental equilibrium work for those spells which are cast at the same time?

When I link bodyswap (pure fire damage) and cold snap (pure cold), after hit mobs become cold resistant and fire + lightning vulnerable. Then I add discharge (only lightning and fire damage) and mobs become fire + lightning resistant and cold vulnerable.
So I want to be shure that there is a moment (which I couldn't see) before each of my spells (most important for the discharge ofcourse) when an enemy is vulnerable for it's type of damage.

It just looks like I always hit by fire and lightning to fire and lightning resistant enemies which is weird.
I think equilibrium would be quite messy also, particularly with Discharge in the mix. Since there's no cast order, what matters is which spell actually hits a mob first. There may be some window of opportunity for your spells to hit in sequence, but it's going to be an awfully small one.

It looks like you're running 2 Discharges, and that's likely to be problematic. At least where the second Discharge in the Poet's is concerned. It's likely always facing +25 to fire res, and if your first Discharge was the last thing to hit mobs it would be hit with +25 light res as well.

On the other side of that, if your Spellslinger Discharge frequently hits mobs before Snap or Bodyswap do (which is entirely possible)--it's going to be faced with +25 to both fire and light res due to the Poet's Discharge always being cast last.

I'd suggest replacing that 2nd Discharge with something else. Probably a cold spell, just to increase the odds of your primary Discharge not running into res problems.
