Physical Spells and -% physical damage reduction from passive tree

I was wondering if Physical Spells benefit from the -% physical damage reduction from the passive tree? The wording simply states "hits":

"Enemies have -12% to Total Physical Damage Reduction against your Hits"

Well, my spells hit and as written should work. In PoB however, the passive nodes do not increase damage. This might need a GGG response but can anyone confirm that these nodes do or do not benefit physical hitting spells?

You mean like "Master of Force"?

Yeah, they work, if your spells hit, like Bladefall for example. PoB doesn't calculate -resist on your gear/tree into you DPS if you don't go to the calclulation tab and edit the "physical damage reduction" position entry on the enemies tab.
