Disabling sounds improves FPS. Is it bannable though?

Hi, basically what the title says. I have read a reditt post about disabling sounds to improve performance dramaticaly. However, you have to adjust production_Config. Can you get banned for it?

You get banned if you do something to get an advantage that others can't do, so i don't see how it can get you banned,
However GGG doesn't answer post like this on the forum, so you will have to e-mail GGG support directly.

Don't you get the same FPS effect changing the channels. I got much better FPS after i change it from hign to medium....

with the amount of audio cues this game has. if youre playing hardcore this is not a decent workaround ;)

Seems sounds are crashing every game with high density packs.

Changed Channel to Low and I don't get crashed but still struggle with bigger packs.

Would be glad if PoE Staff can respond to this. Maybe you write a Mail to support concerning this problem?

Some kind of sticky would also be cool since so many people here are having the same problem: Sound kills FPS.

Edit: If I wasn't lucky finding my first Mirror ever, I'd try this one out. Right now I'm scared getting banned.

Edit2: Holy F*ck. I did not know about -ns function in PoE. No FPS drops in last 3 maps at all!!! I'm going to increase graphic settings later when having more time, doing some testing.
