People need to learn some manners.
If i put an item up for a specific currency then that is what i want for it... end of discussion. People should atleast have the decency to ask if they want to trade in another currency and not just show up with a pocket full of the wrong currency and then proceed to get pissy about it when i decline.
The amount of salt i've gotten this league from snowflakes who feels entitled to the items i'm trading is unreal. Last bumped on Mar 18, 2020, 9:21:55 AM

I think you are trying to scam people by high pricing.

" Perhaps you are part of the problem in general? Sure I could list something for 300c, but if the person comes in with a couple ex in the "correct" exchange rate, there isnt a reason to be a dbag. Usually a response "like sorry just want fusings or alts" is enough, but based on your OP, it's likely you didn't respond kindly at all. Meh you reap what you sow. This always happens early league. People do automatically give a hodgepodge of currency instead of chaos. He can choose to accept it or decline, which he obviously did.
Personally, I always ask beforehand but that's just me. "Hey will you take 5 fuse instead?" etc etc.... https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

" Imagine getting everything so completely wrong, that's quite obviously not what happened. "You want it to be one way, but it's the other way"

" Where was OP being a dbag? I'm guessing OP is talking about when you list something for say 50c and someone puts 10 fusing, 10 alts, 5 alch, and 1 vaal in the window because "it's worth the same, or more". I don't think many people would complain about your example of getting an EX. Like OP said, just ask first. When you don't ask, that's when people get annoyed. |

Depends on what you're listing.
If you're listing a HH, the folks in the market for a HH will usually know how this works. You have the right to say, "Close, but no banana. Go make change and come back when you have it." If you're churning starter trash uniques, you WILL get great hordes of filthy casuals and desperate hoboes coming in with all sorts of paper clips, used gum, ear wax, and alts/alcs/chances. Because this is what you have in your pockets in acts. If you insist on collecting a shiny round chaos for every crappy Meginord's Girdle or Victario's Charity you list, they will tend to sit in your sales page until more folks are over the curve, and may no longer even need them. Whereas if you were willing to accept some number of alcs or alts or chances or linkers, the people who need them most would then be able to pay, and you could take advantage of the early-league exchange rates for alts and chances as people desperate to improve their lot begin crafting. FYI there's a challenge related to chancing uniques, so the value for these should remain fairly high well into late league. And last I checked, alts were 4:1 chaos. KNOW YOUR TARGET MARKET! Meh, they're human, it's normal. 50% of human beings are scum, so you have a 50/50 shot of that person not having manners. I still type "Thank you and good luck," after every trade, even though I know half of the player-base don't have trade responses, but whatever.

You dont sell, other does. Your loss.
Manners? Sry, but "end of discussion" doesnt help. |

Just put them as "fixed price" and ignore people who put random crap in the trade screen.
No reason to make a big fuss about it. |
