Delirium fog, THE WORST mechanic i ever whitness in any video game
|
I like it so far, but maybe because i have no perfomance problems even though I play with a 1070GTX on a 21: 9 monitor in 1440p
What i really like is that its get harder and harder, love it! |

when i saw the trailer and noticed it was just another variation of breach i was already expecting the league mechanic to be boring but this fog mechanic is fucking awful and like you i also don't know where the fog edges are

My eyes are not that bad, but I can not see s*** in Delirium! Also it feels very unrewarding.

Honestly I can't say I m thrilled by the mechanic of this league : you don't see anything as yet again we are hit with black on black monsters, monster density isn't always great, it is hard to tell which monster comes from the fog or from the current map, and overall it is very boring.

" It's worth noting that MOST leagues don't allow you to pick your rewards. Metamorph was very much the exception. |
|
" There's plenty of visual indicators of all that info. For a primer - the fog lasts about a minute if you don't chase it, but it moves out from its starting point. So you're meant to run with it. The direction it's moving can be seen by the direction the fog seems to be 'blowing' (you'll also see it snag towards that direction on the bodies of mobs). Here's a quick visual explanation of how it works - https://youtu.be/lnzYKCPnYq0 Also remember to pop the little white bulbs for even more mobs - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2786428 |

" Exactly, i dont even know if the normal map monsters killed during fog time count towards reward, nothing at all is explained Just a "here, have a bone, dawgs" from GGG. Such lackluster, boring league mechanic i never ever experienced I dont know HOW FAR i am into the fog or at teh edge of fog? I dont know where mosters are most of time! Sometimes u hit a wall, need to backtrack, fog over Ok, i got to a point i am skipping it all together Seriously GGG( again, my on opinion here), this is pathetic and you should have a word or two with teh one who came up with this ideea And btw, i bet a beefed map will be worth running and skipping this mechanic all together The rewards are just pure trash also, i mean most of time is trash yellows or some random orbs... " Why is that? Because you don't like it ? Now don't get me wrong.. so far i don't like it either (but just because i don't like it doesn't mean there aren't many people that do) ...but i will wait till i get to maps etc .. things usually change there. But yeah, as it looks right now, I am most likely back in three month when the new league starts. But again, things might change once i hit maps. |
|
" So most of the indoor maps and outdoor maps with a winding paths are bad for delirium?! Still... giving this league a 3.6 on "my" not great, not terrible scale |
|
" Yeah, unfortunately some leagues really suit certain layouts and others others. Blight, for instance, is very good with indoor and winding maps, as they create natural chokepoints. Leagues like this one, Breach and Legion hate those places. Examples of leagues that were fine either way are Betrayal, Bestiary and the recently concluded Metamorph.
