8c for Blight on map device is a meme

I just... what? That can't really be the price, can it?
I don't even run Blights in maps when I find them a lot of the time, because I feel like it's too much time spent standing around for too little payout. I talk to Cassia, and if it isn't 7 or 8 lane I just walk away and finish the map while Cassia scream-sings about how nervous I'm making her in the distance. Why in the world would I ever pay 8c to get a Blight of unknown quality added to the map when I could pay half of that to add multiple Perandus encounters or 5c to add a second/third layer of Beyond? Even 2c for a guaranteed Abyss will steadily generate profit once you're in T15/16 maps, and it synergizes perfectly with the way you'll already want to build your characters to take advantage of the Delirium league mechanic. I love Blight league, the tower defense mechanic was definitely a fun concept.
I just don't love it enough to gamble away 8c in the hopes I'll get a blighted map or enough loot to get a return. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish. |

i think its fine.
most people and myself will run beyond with HH. full juicing with scarabs if you are poor run something cheaper. if you get too much currency, run for fun. 8c is like nothing. either way, i was gonna skip this league but gonna give it a try for a week and see. pretty stoked so far Last edited by Dudebag#0222 on Mar 9, 2020, 2:44:34 PM

I use the "pick a random one" a lot if I don't have anything particular to put on a map. That said unless blighted maps, or high-end oils, got a drop buff It's not one I'll be picking for sure.

For this to be profitable I think you need to be firmly in AL8 territory where each blight encounter can drop you a tier 14, 15, or 16 blighted map. You better hope you get one in roughly ten maps to break even or to turn a small profit (ignoring oils and whatever else drops). I think it's doable but you have to really like blight in the first place.

If not many people run it, it will be profitable because of its specific loot being rare.
It seems excessive though, but i always found the prices on the higher side, can always gamble with fortune favors the brave i suppose. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

8c is a lot for sure ...
" Assuming that 'most people' will be running around with a HH ..... :/ SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" That's the thing though, it's not like Blight is a dead league. People are still going to see tons of Cassias in maps, we're going to get oils and blighted maps from Metamorphs etc. It's an 8c price tag to be slightly better at getting something that won't be super rare, but more than that it costs more than other league mods which are more directly profitable Last edited by ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate#2605 on Mar 10, 2020, 12:45:47 AM

8c is likely very profitable for the money you spend on it but a waste of time in general. By the time you do the blight encounters you could've just blown through another map.

" Right? Nemesis isn't even available as a Zana mod this time around, so HH is going to be excruciatingly expensive in 3.10. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
