Advanced mod descriptions should not be an option.

there should be the option to have the extended display as default.

common, we played the game for 6 years without this feature.

The biggest problem is that the info tip for the "advanced mod descriptions" option is misleading, so players have no idea this information is available until they are told by someone else. I had looked over the UI options, but had no idea this one might be useful to me.

The current info tip says the option applies "when viewing reminder text" -- I have no idea what "viewing reminder text" is, but since I never did that in the game I always skipped over that option when looking through the options list.

The natural thing would be to make the advanced mod descriptions trigger as part of the "show full descriptions" option, as players who select this option are already indicating a desire to see the full info about items.

i do minimal trading and stuff so don't care about advanced mods. creates a tremendous amount of clutter on the screen so it stays off.

maybe. just for a second. remember some people play because killing monsters and getting whatever loot they drop is fun in and of itself without crafting/trading/etc

So in other words you don't press alt when looking at items so it wouldn't affect you in any way if it was enabled or not...

You're welcome, it's what I do. lol

Well, you're the first person I've come across in all these years that uses key pickup. At least in a case like yours you'd be able to disable full descriptions/adv mod info.
