Thread of hope bug,

Guys i have a thread of hope socketed in my tree but i cant allocate the nodes. I know that it has to be the nodes in the outer ring but it doesnt work. I have tried alot of things but it still doesnt work, any help?

first dumb question: do you have spare passive points you can spend on the nodes in the ring???

That would be way too OP if you could allocate everything in range without spending any passives.
