Avoid Desolation of the Awakener

So I've failed this many times at this point and it always the same way:

He teleports me to it when he does the maze/meteor strike move in his last phase. Every single time I fail because of this. My assumption is there is a way to avoid it but I have not found it yet. I also could not find the answer searching.

I hope the answer isn't "DPS him down before he can get to that stage" because that's a terrible design.

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nothing?
Thanks for all the fish!
The maze have open paths enlightened. Just get out of it going through them. One for every wall of the maze, so from 1 to 3 depending on the Sirus Phase.
Not sure if that's what you were asking.

Not quite but thanks for response.

There is a challenge to avoid Desolation of the Awakener. This is a ground effect during the fight. It is easy to avoid until 4th phase when the ground effect is directly where Sirus teleports you to for the meteor stage. I can’t avoid it since he just places you on it.

I’m not sure how to avoid it if he just teleports you directly to where the ground effect is.

Sorry :D

Don't play leagues so don't know anything about challenges.

Sorry again :p

It was the last missing conditinal for me too, failed it a lot of times. A patch made it better visible, from that point, it was easier to avoid it before the last fourth phase. From there, I also had the same issue as You: the maze phase. The degen was always in the center of the maze where I got teleported right into, or it was at the exit path of the maze to be forced You to run into it.

If it is in the center of the maze, then You fail it right away due to RNG. However, if it is on the way to the exit and You play softcore, just die instead of running into it. That is the way how I finally managed to handle it at some maze events. And I also heard of those kind of DPS numbers when They managed to kill the fourth phase Sirus in seconds without a maze event.
All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.

Thank you.

That is frustrating but I guess patience is the best approach then. I play a build where the meteor doesn't kill me, so I don't even move. I guess I just have been unlucky about the placement of it so far.
Thanks for all the fish!
