Real money trading forbidden policy is dead and irrational

If your real objection is to the wall of currency peddlers spamming up global chat, then this is a good reason to not support RMT. If they aren't making any money off the gullible or shitty players, they will not expend effort to direct vpn's and spambots at global chat in PoE. They will take their nuisance business model elsewhere, and chat might just become tolerable again.

I strongly doubt any of these currency bots actually deliver currency. More like, help themselves to your credit info and you never see any currency.

Working with each other, in good faith, with what we have earned in-game, is a better message to send to the spammers and cheats than any number of annoying chat filters and ad-hoc bot scouring.

GGG has their role in this matter as well - by making multiplayer and group play more intuitive, optimized, and rewarding, they will have essentially no more issues with player retention, and far less motivation to resort to RMT. (This means taking another look at trading/auction, since it's part of the multiplayer game.)

The fact that this game can be assimiled kind of to a whale game by a certain portion of the player base (and eventually streamers/youtubers, some are guilty as well) is what prevents me from playing this game more tbh.

Buying poe stuffs with money is something I find particulary disgusting and revolting, the fact that it exists is imho pretty horrible for the game.

Imho a fix would be to have the poe trade site online and remove the ability to trade with each other. It would brick a lot of things in a game, but at least it would become ethical.

Stay lose and relaxed. Losen your tie and your belt. Anything you can do to make sure you don't loose against forumers who don't know (or don't care) how to spell.

(Some regulars are more recalcitrant than others. A day or two, and you'll know exactly who they are.)

Neat thing about rules is that they don't even have to be rational.

I believe one of the main concerns is legal issues for the company if they don't make it against ToS and someone is scammed. Regardless of the fact that something is an individual choice, there are a ridiculous number of things a company can be held liable for if they don't officially discourage such things.

I guess the OP just wants a cheap way in with the big boys. And in cheap I mean with money, cuz time is more expensive than a few green papers.

You're talking about PLAYERS selling currency here. If you think for one second that there wouldn't be 100000 times more bots if this became allowed, you are wrong. And if you think for one second that 100000 times more bots would be "neutral" to the economy, I really don't know what to tell you. Hell, we would even see "farming houses" in certain... Areas... Of the world.

I understand perfectly fine that some people don't have the time, skills or IQ to play PoE the way they want to play. RMT is not the answer. It's actually allowed to say to yourself that "this isn't the game for me". RMT is a stupid concept, that turns a game into something completely different.

I hope this was a troll thread.
