---!!! SIRIUS8 DROPS & TAUNTING SYSTEM !!!---
There is UBERLY something wrong with this leage.
Setting aside that all map drops now are stolen by metamorphs which give nothing at end of map or in lab in 90% of cases....let's see what else is absolute trash. Well probably after 2 hours+ of farming broken buggeed bad mechanics and wrong desing features in taunt system using 100+ maps each time to spawn sirius...in the meantime gettin no drops cause of metamorphs....u finnaly get to sirius and he drops 1 awakend fire penetreaion gem out of 30 kills, the rest are not noticable, mostly left on ground. If this is intended i have to be straight out human about this and say - IT'S ABSOLUTELY STUPID TRASH AND GARBAGE ! Period. 1. The drops are like...pushing u from the back to borrow exalts. 2. The taunting system is broken, so u waste maps for nothing and get mad/bored/tired/disgusted from doing bugged features while gettin nothing. 3. The new atlas boss that takes 5min to fight just cause u have to wait him float, drops absolute trash. FIX UR GAME ! BALANCE IT ! Make it worth playing ! REWARDS ARE GARBAGE ! I consider this to be a bug that needs fixing cause the game isnt working as it should....meaning to ADD UP TO THE TIME U WASTE FROM REAL LIFE PLAYING IT ! I still don't understand how people in this new Atlas are having a hard time sustaining red maps. I couldn't sustain if my life depended on it with the old Atlas, but now I can sustain just from alch+vaal and go. It's one of the best improvements to be had this league and I hope it stays.
" I've seen your last complaint thread about conqueror taunting where you shared 3 videos of you running maps to get them to spawn. Have you considered maybe not using transmutes on your red maps? I've had absolutely no problem with drops in this game, because I always alch my yellows and alch+vaal my reds. Your complaints about getting nothing while farming conquerors wouldn't be a thing if you invested more than transmutes/augments into your red maps. 1. Try alching your maps at the very least before running them, that would greatly improve your drops. 2. You don't waste maps if you made them good enough to get returns out of running them. 3. It wouldn't hurt for Sirus and several of the conquerors to have adds, I agree there. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! I find it kind of cute when we have someone come in as the "keeper of the common knowledge" to talk down to someone who's clearly played far, far, FAR more.
WE have someone who's never made it past level 95, and never more than 31 challenges in any league, and who's fought Sirus just twice, thinking the solution must obviously be "well, this other player (who has multiple 100s, and has consistently done 36/40) must obviously not know about alching maps!" I can attest; after what felt like a really strong map drops earlier in the league, I'm finding myself repeatedly frustrated at what appears to be a lack of sustain. It's also not helped that outside of delves, most prior non-mob drop sources of maps don't actually acknowledge your Atlas status. (e.g: ran a level 83 transportation safehouse w/3-star Rin in control... Got a smattering of white & yellow maps for regions I have socketed 4 watchstones into) And overall, Sirus is the least-satisfying boss fight I've ever done in PoE. It starts with 3 cycles of a yawnfest "easily-side-step every attack" punctuated with "stand a screen away for 30 seconds for the storm to vanish" followed by what could ALMOST be a decent fight if not for it primarily reliant on making it hard to see things; so much clutter, and Sirus loving to just teleport off-screen so you gotta chase him down to get in a hit before he starts his next "I'm invincible" attack. (e.g, meteor maze, corridor laser, etc.) And of course, the lack of adds sterilizes the build diversity a bit, since you gotta go with someone who's basically flaskless. All told, Sirus is like 5+ minutes of padding for maybe 20-30 seconds of decent gameplay, (itself padded with a couple minutes of frustration where he's either off-screen or invincible) all for... Well, getting another garbage helmet with a SMALL chance at something decent? The other elderslayers aren't exactly much better. I really do miss Uber Elder being a relevant part of the endgame picture. Take a break, this is a game, something has gone wrong somewhere.
" This, t16 drops much, much more easily in this Atlas it seems. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" ![]() Yeah dude, you got me. Totally just blowing smoke out of my ass there. Meanwhile OP has shown several videos complaining from an earlier thread of him running magic red maps. Not rare, nor corrupted. Magic. Nemesis+Bloodlines to be specific, with 3 vaal fragments and elder scarab on top of Awakened 8 Atlas with each region having 2 unique +mobs watchstones. And he wants to complain that he's wasting them or not getting anything from his efforts, because he just wants to farm the end bosses? I call bullshit. Maybe if he changed his mindset from "death march to conqueror/Sirus" to "play the game like normal and alch red maps while treating the bosses like a payout", he'd probably get more out of them. I'm sorry, but I'm someone who had no clue how to sustain maps with the old Atlas, and even I'm able to do just fine with the new one. All I do is alch+vaal my maps, maybe occasionally pop a scarab and use "Fortune Favors the Brave" once in a while if the IIQ is 100%+. Nothing I'm doing is some obscure and complex meta mapping strat. I bet I could pull out a lot more if I put in as much effort as OP did to optimize his Atlas WHILE still chiseling+alching+vaaling my maps. Quick reminder: The access to bosses are free. You don't need a special map to go fight any of them, Zana just opens a portal for you. This more or less makes them an "extra reward" for the content you're playing. We're not dealing with Shaper/Elder/Uber Elder anymore. There's no target farming. Just play and enjoy the game, and cash in on the occasional conqueror spawns. EDIT: Just in case people think I'm lying:
Spoiler
Videos OP shared:
https://streamable.com/xc43x https://streamable.com/3p0zt https://streamable.com/a7irp Thread where he shared them: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2748890 " And I find it to be a good thing. It's comforting to know GGG might finally stop gating challenging endgame content behind RNG, that anyone can reach it if their build is sufficient. I can't get past the "I got one stupid awakened gem in 30 runs" crap.
So what? You want an awakened gem EVERY run? How about the sword too? The part people don't realize is that there would be SO many of these flooding the market that the prices would plummet, people would complete their "new sword + 9 awakened gems" build in a couple weeks (because you could buy them for like 20c) and then quit. GGG wants you to keep playing. If you don't find the core loop of the game (get map, mod map, run map) interesting, then just don't play. There's never going to be a time when you're running Sirus fights more often than maps. Also, yeah...Sirus is a joke to fight. Died twice my first run (with no spoilers) with CoC Cyclone/Ice Nova. His tells are super easy to avoid, and the only reason I died was immediately leap slamming into a cloud when I first entered the arena, and getting caught in his first cloud he creates in the center (because I didn't know the mechanic yet). I wouldn't mind a slight increase to his drop rate, but only if they made the fight significantly more complex (like Uber Elder). |
