Tempered Flesh/Transcendent Flesh crit multi not working

I socketed both jewels into the sockets outside of the Duelist and Marauder starting areas. The crit multiplier wasn't applied when socketed in the Duelist's area but was applied in the Marauder's. This also showed on my character sheet.
