poe does reflect damage reduce the incoming damage?

Hello there,

like in the title is the damage reduced by the damage it reflect to the enemys normaly?

if I get hit by 1000 damage,
and my gear reflects 100 damage to the enemy,
would I get only 900 damage of the damage?

or

would I, if I get 1000 damage,
and reflect 100 damage,

get 1000 damage hit by and then deal 100 damage?
(without medigation)

Damage reflection is not mitigation. You would take the entire 1000 damage in addition to reflecting 100 back.
