Manastorm with Divine Ire causing wrong mana regen calculation
I'm using a build with Manastorm and Divine Ire, and when I channel, the skill sometimes stops as though I ran out of mana, even though I have around 250 mana regen per second, and the skill costs 12 mana with cast speed of 0.13
with my mana regen I should have around 250 x 0.13 = 32 mana to continue using the skill. Is this a bug or am I missing something? My guess is that mana regen is applied in intervals which are longer than my cast speed, which leads to this issue. Edit: It seems that I didn't describe the problem clearly, so I made a video of it. https://youtu.be/p-2sP5DfJ_k The problem appears to happen randomly, but rarely when I start channeling at full mana. Please note the charges count at the top right of the screen, the problem happens when the count is less than 2 and the abnormal behavior is shown then, more than that is just me stopping the skill because once the charges go beyond 3 the skill works normally. Looks like it some sort of bug.
By the logic, channel have to stop all the time at 2d DI stack. Without Laviangas usage. And never stops while flask effect is up. I think so. Also. As i know in PoE "When you Cast a Spell" means the initial cast and not channeling part. So manastorm should not take away you mana during channeling. Lifesprig works the same way i think. Gluttony belt will not deal damage to u while channeling Cyclone. Also i think "Eldritch Battery" passive is intended way to use Manastorm. Last edited by loadinggood#1993 on Jan 23, 2020, 4:30:03 AM

Manastorm sacrifices mana not spend it so Eldritch Battery won't work.
I hope they fix this bug soon. |

oh I see what you mean.
I thought you meant that Eldritch Battery sacrifices es instead of mana. anyway if the problem isn't solved soon, I will try to craft the - mana cost of spells mod. |

Not shure you can properly fix it anyhow other than EB use.

Hmmmmm. Just tested it by myself and cast is never stops if i have enough mana regen. Like.... Are you sure its not your right mouse button? =)
Btw. Your mana cost per second is (casts per second from character screen) 7.46 x 12 = 89.52 0.13 cast time is a rounded number but same will be with (1 / 0.13) * 12 Last edited by loadinggood#1993 on Jan 23, 2020, 9:53:49 AM

What was your cast speed and mana regen?
it could be a bug that happens only at certain numbers. if not I'll try another mouse, but I don't notice any abnormalities with other games, so I doubt it's a mouse problem. |

I used my keyboard instead of mouse to cast the skill, but still the same problem.
