That's for currency drops. There's a huge penalty for experience gains. That's what makes it hard to get to 100.
Essentially once you reach a certain level, you're considered "out of level range" for all encounters, and bear the full brunt of negative multipliers to xp bounty.
At that level (95+) any difference you see in xp gain between one map and the next is based on mob pack size/composition, unless it says directly on the tin "X% increased experience gain".
Theoretically with enough ivory watchstones you could get monsters to level 87-88, which might actually register a blip on your xp multiplier, all other things being equal.
Well i know all about the XP penalty for higher levels. And at T19 maps (mob lvl 86) you can calculate a 30% XP Multiplier for lv 98, which is 6x higher than the 5-6% you get from lv 83. The xp, however, doesnt change at all.
