"T19" Maps Experience
Hello guys,
so basically what i want to know is if "T19" map experience is somehow bugged or not. When running a T16 i get around 20m xp /hour on lv 98. However on a T19 it barely scratches the 10m mark. (Running at ~ the same speed) The maps are both juiced up af, with over 150% quant and 40% packsize, 4 watchstones with sextants with additional mobs etc. Can someone explain why this happens? " Probably with some ivory watchstones :) OP, check the experience table here: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Monster_level Last edited by b0TEB#2078 on Jan 13, 2020, 9:23:41 AM

" T19 is with 3 +1 lv Watchstones, yes. Ah, so basically there is no real difference between T16 and T19 in xp? But the mobs are lv 86 which then lowers the effective difference between you and the mobs, giving you a much higher xp multiplier (30% instead of 5-6%) for lv 98?(based on the formula of https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Experience for xp multiplier) Last edited by Loggi7#3160 on Jan 13, 2020, 9:44:30 AM

"Ohhhhh O.o 3.26 when?

" When you reach lvl 68 and beyond you are always level 68. There is no such thing as experience penelty due to level gap in maps. |
" The last update to that Wiki page looks like 3.1 and the references are 5+ years old. Either way, it makes no sense for adding +3 to map tier to decrease your xp by 50%. Probably a calc bug in the new content. |
" That's for currency drops. There's a huge penalty for experience gains. That's what makes it hard to get to 100. |
" Yeah i know the entry is old, but i haven´t read anything about some changes to this system. |
" Essentially once you reach a certain level, you're considered "out of level range" for all encounters, and bear the full brunt of negative multipliers to xp bounty. At that level (95+) any difference you see in xp gain between one map and the next is based on mob pack size/composition, unless it says directly on the tin "X% increased experience gain". Theoretically with enough ivory watchstones you could get monsters to level 87-88, which might actually register a blip on your xp multiplier, all other things being equal.
