IDK about them, I have guardian with over 15k es and 9k cwdt molten shell - and still can just die in a split second, usually without ever seeing what it was. Moreover, even animated guardian with meat shield support, fortify, 50k hp and 10k/sec regen sometimes dies in a second.
Organic chemistry is a weird thing. If you add a spoon of shit to a barrel of jam you'll get a barrel of shit.

Drox mobs hit pretty hard. Also a mana guardian here with 13.5k ES. Ran an ele pen Tower with Drox influence. It was the single rippiest map my character has played. Constantly getting down to 2-3k ES from those weird lightning ground explosions. Didnt die though, but 99% of the maps I run just tickle. That one hurt.

Now any time I see Drox in the future, Ill be careful about any damage mods

Sure it was not baran's influence? Those lighing mines hurt as hell. Drox I dint had much problem yet. But jesus almost ripped on a baran map with damage mods.

People roll damage mods? Do you have option not to roll them?

If answer to problem with balance post 3.9 is to run white or blue mas in end-game, there is something wrong with the update.

I greatly dislike how GGG decided to address power creep in 3.9 because it was cheap and lazy way to approach it. If anything, any increase in monster HP should have been accompanied by reduction of its damage output proportional to the increase of its time to die change. Adjusting only one side of the equation, in this case monster HP, and leaving rest unchanged means that lots of build that were just good enough in the past are now obsolete. This means that players are forced to smaller subset of well performing builds or FOTM skills.

yeah you do have an option to roll mods. you can always reroll if you cant handle it. if you are running corrupted map, your fault not the game.
there is nothing wrong with harder mods(except maybe reward arent there like it should be), its just rippy and you need to be careful.

just play your level . you cant handle rare,corrupted maps, run blue or white. that is your level of skill.
if im running rippy mods while leveling up my character, i have sub character that can kill boss or metamorph.

if the map is too rippy and i dont wanna risk dying or waste the map, i can swap to clear maps.


i'm playing around the system to overcome the situation.

im not a hardcore player so i play differently but even at softcore level, there are things i have to do to survive.

dying sucks but i tell myself "at lest the skill gems are leveling"

Ehh so much sarcastic comments."Glass cannon" & so on. I have over 7K EHP,sure still not plenty, all res 75% and same problem: getting one shotted by - I think - targeted spell but from off screen. I understand getting killed by minions, chained stuff, projectiles, even mines. But this just sucks, stopped for a moment to pick up a loot, no one around and get "beamed" out from off screen by rare Baran dude.At least I saw HOW this happens, died few times in Meta without any clue at all... Amazing experiences at lvl 91 - first stage of quitting, same scenario as always.

Around half players of PoE will never reach end game anyway,and that is ok - because it still suck somehow.Just few very expensive builds to even get there. But is just boring anyway. Delve stands - but mapping is same as it was - 5 minutes on little map then HO,map,HO,map,HO omg...just mindless grinding for currency,maps,and such "tricks" of Barans, Drox & others are not making it any better, more interesting or more enjoyable at all.

Because I have 11k ES, am running some juiced t14+ and it does not happen to me.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
