What's the point of Rustic Sash?

It's basically on the way to the Duelist bow nodes you're probably going to get anyway.

I'd wager a large majority of knowledgeable bow Rangers get Iron Grip because of its power, and convenience in node pathing.

You neglected to take into consideration physical wand and Ethereal Knives users in your immediate disparaging.

Recently someone was postulating that the Cloth Belt was the most useless. Today I was postulating that the Chain Belt was most useless and some people think the Studded Belt the most useless. It depends a lot on your niche as to which annoys you the most where as the Leather belt tends to please all because it's just life which pleases everyone except CI users.

Yes. I'm not against the "niche" excuse. All belt archetypes are dependent on what you prefer.

But when people can get Iron Grip so easily, I feel that the niche reason goes down the drain with Rustic Sash.

Now, it's my own personal belief that Studded Belts are the worst, because increased stun duration on enemies is a useless mod. And then second worst is probably cloth belt, although admittedly, enough accidentally-stacked stun recovery can get you virtual stun immunity which can end up being the best type of belt, in a sense. (But on its own, it's bleh.)

But, I dunno. Maybe you're right, maybe it really is to each their own. But I can't help but feel silly every time I look at a Rustic Sash. It just feels like an insane overlook. To me, it feels like if they had an amulet archetype that increased your Energy Shield by 2-5%.

The problem isn't that rustic sash is useless. It has its uses. The problem is that leather belt and heavy belt are so insanely good that all the other look bad when compared. GGG could nerf 2 belt types and the selection would be pretty interesting and with a lot of choice. Or they could buff 4 and achieve the same, but create power creep.

There is a problem, for sure, and it has two possible solutions. Seems rather clear what the better one is.

A third solution might be to have different mods effect different items, so an Int belt is more likely to roll Int modifiers, Dex belts more likely to roll dex modifiers, and str belts more likely to roll str modifiers.

It depends whether you view them as clothing or jewelry or something inbetween. It seems odd to me that Str and Armour are so prevalent and the other two stats so lacking. Good for Totems though I suppose.

That would be nice. It's really annoying when chain belts roll a stun duration mod. Terrible.
