Is there a reason all the good melee skills ignore claws?

probably because u can heal 50 life per hit with claws and u attack alot.

Yep, I'd like to return to the topic at hand. The idea of Lacerate working with claws is sound, chances are it is not because that skill was released back when they made Axe&Sword supports. Mind you, there could be a time when they will make the skill works also with them. Changing weapon restrictions in skills is not unheard of: Infernal Blow once did not work with Unarmed, Puncture didn't always worked with 2H swords and so on.

... Come mention it. You can't use Laceration with Claws, but you can use Reave... Which... is... similar. In concept terms, of course.

I kind of have to agree with this. I've always wanted to play with claw weapons, the free leech or life gained on hit is one of the better implicit modifiers. But the skills don't really interest me. I kind of hope this one thing they look at when touching up PoE2.

Mages and Bow characters don't really have this issue but melee is all over the place. I'd love to be able to punch the ground with a claw and cause an earthquake. While I love Varunastra and its very under rated atm, it can't be the only answer to this.
