Something has changed with POE Vsync settings. FPS drops to 30 and stays - win 10, 2080ti

When you introduced the new frame cap, did you change something with vsync?

Vsync is on in game.

Playing normally at 60fps everything is fine, then some intense scene will happen and FPS drops to 30fps.

If i drag the PoE window around my desktop or move it a little the fps goes back to 60fps.

PC Specs:

Windows 10
i9 9900k
gtx 2080ti

Lg C9 oled gysnc monitor

Running in 4K desktop with PoE running in a window.

Nvidia control panel at default settings.

I don't use vsync anymore. I feel that the max FPS works better, so try disabling vsync and use max FPS.
Also try testing in fullscreen and windowed fullscreen.

No it's not that, because it's never done this before and i have 7000 hours in the game.

I always used to play with V-sync on just fine.

Something to do with the new gsync/windows 10 and PoE's new vsync or frame rate limiter.

Exactly. I have a 2070 super / 8700k and the frames are horrible.

Kinda sucks to try and get to thick maps and you just drop to 20 fps then the game decides to catch up. I've tried all the settings I can't seem to get something to work.

It would be nice if GGG would acknowledge some of these issues, it seems these forums are just a place for people to rant.

disable it if you using WATER COOLER block on your GPU , if you using stock fans , it might burned your GPU motherboard for a short time.

there are FPS control value enable in POE latest update, you can change to 60fps-120fps for better graphic. the heat might be around 65c.

Agree. I play with vsync and game goes very smoothly. Vsync caps fps from 30 min to 60 max. And true is that with vsync resources of PC or other are freed. Causing with lower temperatures, frees fans etc. I noticed that on nVidia with 30 fps stuttering is visible, it is strange behavior because 30 frames have for example movies in cinema and there is no stuttering. 30 fps is enough minimal. But this is my subjective observation with nVidia and pls dont direct with this.
More frames should not influence on smoothness of playing. You will dont notice difference between 60 fps and 120 but your HW must process it.

You dont need disable vsync because game should go perfect.

Kinda sucks....

You posts are every where, check hardware first, see my guide. I suppose You have something with hardware. I play by years on weak Lenovo laptop G50-45 and dont had such trouble as You have.
