Need Help With Skill Gems
Hi, I am new to poe but until recently I have been using clarity and zealot as buffs along my fire and lightning golems, but now for some reason whenever I activate zealot I am unable to activate clarity and vice versa. Only one can be active at a time. Yes, I made sure both gems are still equipped.
Neither gem lists any weapon type requirement but my spec (dual wands) has not changed Any suggestions? I tried unequipping and rewuipping the gems, moved the gems to other items with appropriate sockets, and still no luck. Currently on Act 6 if that helps at all. Clarity reserves 34 to 279 mana (depending on the gem level) and Zealotry reserves 50% of your mana. Maybe the two together add up to > 100% of your mana pool. Either take some mana reduction passives or get a jewel with "reduced mana" or link Clarity with Blood Magic support gem to use life instead of mana.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 Last edited by Arrowneous#3097 on Jan 5, 2020, 6:33:52 PM

I am not the most experienced player out there but, auras reserve some mana. Zealotry reserves 50% of your mana. Clarity increases it reserve as it levels. Therefore eventually, there simply will not be enough non reserved mana to start Clarity.
Here is a handy link to help with auras and items to reduce the reservations: https://poe.mikelat.com/#4_uSb/UEe.NoA1Qo I hope this helps. |

I'm running enkis arc ele build so I'm not sure if blood magic is a good fit. So in other words I outleveled my gems from being compatible with each other? I suppose I'll look for Mana reduction

You can buy a level 1 gem from the vendor in act 6 until you get the mana to support the higher level gems too.
Arguing on the Internet: What's the point when you can't punch them in the face when they really piss you off?
