end-game defence: how much armor/evasion/energy-shield?

Hi

I'm wondering about endgame defenses. What are realistic (balanced) values to achieve for armor, evasion and energy shield for all the different classes around level 80?

I'm interested in % values as well e.g. a typical Maurader's armor value will give ~60% physical damage reduction with the listed armor value.

Examples:
- Maurader: 5000 armor, ~50% phy reduction
- Shadow: 3000 evasion, ~30% evasion, 3000 energy-shield

Background: I originally tried to figure out the value of endurance charges vs armor (points invested in the passive tree). One of my toons has up to 8 endurance charges which give a flat 40% phy damage reduction, 40 resist all and 1.6% life-regen with just 4 passive points invested and 2 Kaom's Sign (unique ring). This seems an incredible value. Unfortunately however I do not have any endgame experience yet (2 toons in act 2 merciless) and cannot estimate what defenses are required to comfortably clear maps.

I have 11k armor with my EK shadow (I think it's 51% reduced damage at level 74), but physical damage still hits pretty hard (I can go up to 17k with molten shell).

As for evasion, you still need to drink granite flask to tank the small damage, or else even a monkey will kill you. It's better to have some kind of additional defense with evasion IMO, like shield block or dual wield weapon block.

0.4: added "ignore" button. ignore list is now saved locally.
You can't really solely rely on evasion, you need some armor or like someone said some block chances and so on. 30% evasion lets you avoid only 1/3rd of all damage so you have to be somehow prepared for the rest of 2/3rd's of the damage.
It would also be interesting how much a/e/es % increase you have from passives...

My marauder lvl 84 has 19.8k armor. I can get 24k armor with molten shell and 45k with granite flask.

I guess most physical damage doesn't hit for that hard on me, what gets me are the maps with -max res on top of %mobs hit for 80-100 increased damage as elemental modifier.
