Found a Group of Bots
Found a group of bots. They all have the same general name, with a few different letters. All of them have 6 letters.
They all move on top of each other. When they left the WP they all left at the exact same time (they just used the WP) Someone is either botting, or multiboxing, controlling all of them at once and using them to increase the IQ. ![]() Dynamic Environment - Day/Night, Rain/Lightning - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/110100 GGG's design philosophy in three words: Quantity over Quality. did you report?

Probably not bots, but a multiboxer using proxy input software. Could be though. There's good incentive to bot this game currently.

Those are probably not bots. Multi-logging or mult-boxing much more likely. I doubt you have any proof beyond some chars that look similar. Them all disappearing at same time could have many different explanations, other than a bot. For example what if their internet connection was broken? What if the person was using a keyboard multi-plexer? Hardly conclusive of a bot don't you think? Considering that a bot is a computer algorithm playing a character, this hardly qualifies as proof. . |

The same topic gets made every day. This is not botting, it's multi-boxing, and is completely legal.

" Nah, if they're using any sort of input proxy, they're violating the ToS. If they're moving in unison, they're likely doing something bannable. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

" See my post about multi-plexers. Also replication is not automation, even if they were using software. These points have been discussed endlessly. . |

" Chris has said no input proxy. I take it that key repeaters and multiplexors to fall into that term. Not talking about automation. Multiboxing is fine, because they have no way to determine if that's your cousin playing on another computer. If you have 6 accounts who are performing the same inputs pixel:pixel, I could see that as being a little easier to detect and take action against. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

" Then Chris better start banning mice and keyboards, because these are proxies for human input. (and yes I have seen/heard the youtube videos with devs saying something along these lines) . Last edited by Altadoc#4418 on Mar 18, 2013, 1:02:52 PM
