Chaos Inoculation Summoner Build

I'm already half way there, not going for CI before having more ES.
Got every minion skill.
Going for heavy ES and resist.

It may be a bit late but I am asking for advices for my build and equipment/skills to go with it. I will be grateful for any suggestions related and will consider to implement in my game play.

I play with CI on my summoner witch since lvl50 and 1000ES. While everyone is saying that its impossible to play, i had no problems as long as the resists were at max. But, of course, u can get Oneshittet. Happend to me maybe twice when i didnt mention to stay away from known hard hitting bosses. As a Summoner i think u can do what ever you like after taking all the minion passives. Just do whatever supports your personal playstyle.

I would never go for armour+ES because i hate the armour mechanics. Whats the point of armour when its effectiveness scales down while dmg taken scales up. I also took only a few ES nodes, just the ones at start location and the new ones. I am planning to take much more but with poor equip it scales too bad, and im just doing well without atm.

I am now lvl72 with very poor 3500ES and doing all maps with any mods. Except blood magic for sure... my build is very unbalanced, i have (very) poor pure ESgear, only 1 curse (enfeeble), 1 totem (skeletons), i do not even use the sockets on my chest except for levelling gems atm, i have not a single damage-skill in use, every 4l or even 3l item i wear is full of item rarity and/or quantity...

so. i really dont know how you could do wrong as a pure summoner.

In this case, your build might have waaaayyy too much defense. U might think about going for dual totem, dual curse or something exotic u like...

this is my unbalanced build. basically unbalanced because i waste about 7 passives to get enough dex and str for levelling gems.


it is just the same core as yours. And as you can see, when i am doing well in all maps without dying, why should u spend mor than maybe 10more defense nodes as me and spend the rest as u just like to.

i forgot the most important change from nonCI to CI for a summoner: use life flasks for your minions! take 4-6 flasks with increased recovery speed and/or instant recovery, to minions. then just spam them. it will make the difference.
