Map with 8 modifiers challenge?

Is there something I'm missing about map modifiers? I've done 3 maps with 9 modifiers on them and still haven't completed that part of the Modify Maps challenge

Iirc, 10 seems to be the breaking point, to hit 8 I mean.

the ONLY way to get an 8 mod map is to corrupt it. this is one of the outcomes.
if your map isnt corrupt, it isnt 8 mods. if you turn on advanced tooltips and hold alt while looking at a map (just like every other item) you can see exactly how many mods it has. Last edited by Thror2k5#7154 on Dec 17, 2019, 4:39:41 PM

To have 8 modifiers a map must be corrupted. If you hold down Alt while mousing over the item, you'll see the exact mods broken down (and you'll see that some are multiple lines). You may need to enable Advanced Mod Descriptions in the UI Options. I don't know if that's on by default.

I’m surprised op doesn’t know what are 8mod maps. Given that his seems to be a veteran account and there has been 8mod map challenges stretching far back in history.

" that's what's been confusing me. i've never in my life had one of these challenges not complete, but this league 3 corrupted maps with 8+ mods and none of them worked. Must just be bad luck 3 times for once |
