How do you kill Drox?

The mechanism is as follows:

Drox is invulnerable if he stays inside a circle around the flag.
How to kill him:
You have to allure him, so that he covered by only ONE flag.
Then you have to destroy the flag (e.g. with a totem). Afterwards you are able to cause damage to him for a little period of time, because he rebuilds the flag and you have to start again destroying the flag.

This is really annoying, but normally he remains staying on the place (if you are around)

This is without doubt the most lopsided unfair and tedious encounter in the entire game.

A "DPS check" !!!! Really? What is the point of spending hours to build a high level character that can get to the end game if GGG is going to rig, yes, I said rig! the mechanics of the game to deliberately defeat your ability to deal damage.

No mid game boss should take 20 minutes to kill. I've had five tries at this stupid encounter and never got close to 50% hp.

GGG - fix it! Make it fair and enjoyable. Not bloody torturous.

PS: no one likes getting one-shotted with 6.3k hp.

If it takes you 20 minutes to kill him then you just aren't ready for the encounter gear wise. Same if you get oneshot. Drox is by far the easiest of the bunch. Upgrade your build and you won't have any issues.

Have you? Because if you had you'd have seen that I've made several posts earlier in this thread where I explained his mechanics. He isn't immortal or invincible. If you know his mechanics (they've been explained several times by different people including me throughout this topic) and your dps is at least somewhat up to the task then the fight is a cake walk. With ~1 million dps you can do him in <1 minute on literally any build. And 1 million dps is nothing nowadays, even in SSF. Most of my chars need like 20 seconds and people with GG gear can do it in 1 or 2 seconds.

Ofc, if you try to take him on with like 100k dps on a build with 6k life and no other defenses then you are in for a tough ride, but that's ok because with stats like that you won't have much fun with the content that comes afterwards.
