Dual Strike and Impale...

Assuming 100% impale chance, does a single attack apply two impales or one?

And as a follow up question:

Does the Champion's Master of Metal node add 6-12 damage per impale to each weapon (for a total of 12-24 per attack) or does it just add 6-12 damage to the total attack damage?

Just one according to the Wiki on Impale.

I'm not sure what you mean on the second question. Do you mean if you are duel wielding? It should be just how it's worded, 6-12 total.

The buff applies to both weapons, not just one. Outgoing damage calculation wise Dual Strike behaves as if dealing two hits, but deals the total damage of both hits in one.

So it will apply only one impale per attack, but it will "benefit twice" from the flat bonus per impale.
