In Conquerors of the Atlas, can I run a single map continuously?

I wonder the answer about this problem.

Before, I can farm a single map for some divinaiton cards I need, which is useful especially in ssf. While playing ssf, for example, if I need some unique item which can be trade with a set of divination card, I can run a single map to farm that divination card, by controlling my map.

But in Conquerors of the Atlas, is it doable to control my map? Can I run a single map continuously?

still unclear
we won't have carto seals or anything anymore, so you can't actually remove maps from the atlas, however the atlas is set up in a different way now too.

so now we have brackets of maps which can be upgraded etc. im sure you could focus on a single quadrant but some things about this remain unclear still
1) if you focus on a single quadrant, will maps from other quadrants still drop even though they're not connected or maybe not even completed
2) if you upgrade only one quadrant will that limit map drops from the other quadrants
3) in a single quadrant, if you'll have multiple maps of the same tier or not

and probably others.

the way im thinking is if you can focus on one area you could probably upgrade it once or twice with watchstones or w/e they're called and that will separate its drops from other map drops around the atlas. this could be similar to focusing a single map around the tier 7-10 ranges.
this obviously depends what quadrant the map you'd like to farm is located, and how many other maps are in that area, but its possible that there are only 3-5 other maps of that tier bracket/connection that could drop.

so while it doesn't look like you can focus farm one map like you could with glacier in legion, where you set up the atlas so 100% of all map drops (except from boss) are glacier, it does look like you can still manipulate some things to get favourable drops, pending further information.
Neon did confirm in Exilecon that this strategy will be somewhat gone in 3.9.

But, based on what he said:
1) There is quite possibly at least one region that once you fully upgrade it, only has 1 t16 map in the pool.
2) So if you upgrade that region to max and do not upgrade any other region to max, theoretically you have 1 t16 map on your atlas and should be able to spam it.

The downside of course is you cannot choose the map, so if that t16 happens to be Torture chamber, then thats your option.

The better strat is likely going to be to pick a 'good' region and cycle through the t16s in that region as they drop.

Sustaining T16s isn't the problem, it's sustaining maps with div cards we need.
Yea, sorry should have contextualized for div cards.

It is not possible to target farm a map for a div card anymore unless the map happens to be the single t16 in a region.

Since unlearning maps looks to be gone, you will not be able to sustain any other map of any other tier by itself as it will always have connecting maps learned.

You'll eventually be able to farm the map by just focusing on that region till you build up a pool if you want.

The control you have over the strat is more.. wide now. As an example, if you usually farm residence for dapper prodigy to get your 6L, you will now probably want to choose the region containing residence, identify other maps in there that drop cards you want and essentially farm that region and those maps as a pool rather than focus farm residence.
