Will we get engine improvements from POE2 to POE1 and texture improvements + overall MTX overhaul
I am still confused about this despite listening to all the interviews so far and not sure, what will they do about it. I mean to spend few K Euros in MTX and my MTX will look crap compared to default armor or effects in POE2...naaah no way i will still be buying MTX for POE1, if they don't improve MTX from POE1 to POE2 standards, when it comes out.
I know @Eric from GGG did discuss something about this in Latest Zizaran interview, but i cannot confirm 100%, what are they planning actually. How much of everything will get improved in POE1 with POE2 standards. " Thank you for the extensive feedback, much appreciated <3. I have to go check, how will be Vulkan API supported long term. Am wondering this myself as well. They said they would slowly over time, up to PoE2 release, update the PoE1 stuff to the PoE2 stuff. But as far as I know they never said anything about updating the existing or upcoming mtx to/for PoE2. I have actually asked this question before.
And I agree we should get an answer as soon as possible, because some players might be holding off on buying microtransactions and/or supporter packs right now. Costing them money. PS: Am also wondering if maps will get PoE2 updated! Last edited by sarannah101#2551 on Nov 29, 2019, 6:29:26 AM

From the ExileCon talks i can think that the visual updates of the older acts are an iterative process, meaning that all acts will get updated to the POE2 standards before the new campaign drops to live.
The same will happen to UI updates/skill effects and character animations. In regards of older MTX updates. They will make at least the minimal effort so they fit the new rigs animation wise. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. The visual improvements we saw in the PoE 2 demo at ExileCon are based on their same custom game engine so yes PoE 1 will get those visual quality upgrades. GGG said they are moving off of DirectX to Vulkan graphics API so let's hope that this is more than just a minor "incremental improvement" and can keep our FPS up with large/multiple mob packs. With blights going into the core, we need all the client side performance improvements we can get.
That still leaves the gigantic problem of what GGG is going to do (or can do) about the deteriorated Softlayer/Networklayer Internet)? As I see it (my analogy), GGG can upgrade the PoE train with shiny new cars (higher quality visuals), upgrade the engine (Vulkan API), but if the tracks (Networklayer Internet fiber infrastructure our PoE data has to traverse) are broken then the PoE 2 and PoE 1 trains are going nowhere (stuck in the station and can't play). "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

You will see a new act 1 town now in 3.9 if i am not wrong.
And every 12-13 weeks until poe2 comes out you will see updates on gfx ingame. |

You think ggg will pay any attention to 1 post threads or they will pay more attention on a thread with 100 posts? I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.
