Any area that is densely packed with monsters who are easy to kill fast. Plus the more champions or unique monsters the better.

Stack mods such as "Increased rarity of items" and "Increased quantity of items"

Early game, I find the cliffs are great, use AOE to mow down huge groups and you can find a lot of good stuff.

Keep in mind, the higher your level compared to the area, the lower chance of orbs dropping.
