Will PoE be discontinued and replaced by PoE 2?

Basically Chris said that poe 2 is another campaign and just another way for you to progress through the create a new character option, everything will be linked, all stash and mtx's, endgame etc.

People who create a poe 2 character will still play with people who created a character through poe 1 once they unlock maps onwards.

From what i gleem the only thing that seperates them would be the graphics capability of each game and the fact that you would have the original assendancies only available through poe 1, with poe 2 have 16 more asendancies making a total of 36.

So what should happen, if you want all the assendencies unlocked is you would play through poe 1 to unlock its assendanceis and then start a new character in poe 2 to unlock those assendancies, this will be effected accross your entire "account".

Then you will have access to all the assendencies on the poe 1 & 2 character.

In the faaaaaaar future I would expect that eventually they would integrate poe 1 into poe 2 in some fashion but only as far as the technical upgrades are concerned.

Either way my god im hype, the fact they are moving away from the sonic style of playing poe lately as well as quite literally everything else, getting feels of post open beta proper launch hype atm.....i must somehow deal with this for the next year :D
