The focus was Path of Exile. Not some mtx pixels that you'll look at on your character for 10 seconds before switching back to your usual mtx set-up. If the only thing you could focus on was some small chance at an mtx then that's on you. Sounds like you got your priorities wrong, kiddo.

Maybe not for you and frankly I don't give a fuck about what you think should be prioritized. Truth of the matter is that a majority of people joined the stream for the drops and so far it's been a complete trainwreck. Heck, most of the time the chat wasn't even talking about what was going on but just spam about no drops so yes, it did take away focus from the event.

0 drops here too :(

Just an update, I got one drop today!!!

watched both the streams from start to finish unfortunately rng wasn't on my side. :(

0 drops ;_; i'm gonna go get some sleep, maybe the RNG gods will have mercy and grant my something after the matter.

Both days with "Your account is eligible to participate in Twitch Prime Drops" and also 0 drops. Exilecon was fun, but not that situation.

You cannot blame all this issue to the players. Yes it's true, the the players has a choice to just watch & ignore the drops, & enjoy the whole event. But you also forgetting, GGG has also the choice from the beginning to prevent this issue from ever happening.

The devs initiate this promotion & backfired again, they are the one who put this distraction from the event. There are other better promotion/twitch drops mechanics other companies have done (guarantee drops after watching specific number of time, code drops during broadcast that can claim, etc) or no promotiona at all, but instead they choose this pure RNG mechanics. This issue was not even the first time it happened, they did this the same during Twitch Hat way back 2017 with similar result (complains & disappointment), but they did not learn.

You want RNG rewards, then don't expect everyone will be happy at the result.
You cannot play with peoples emotion & always comes out everything is fine & good.

But all is not lost, there still time & ways to correct this issue just like last time, You can just give atleast something to anyone who link their account & watched, I'm sure you have all the data.

It's also your choice, what will be the end of all this.

there was better ways to make it for everyone.
