Initial loot highlight loot filter not working

I've been having this issue for the past 3 weeks now, where my loot filter is not working as intended. how it used to work: Say a chaos orb drops, you would hear the drop sound, see the highlighted chaos orb with a yellow beam for a split second before it is no longer popped up. You could either pick up the item in that split second OR hold down Alt to show the chaos orb and release Alt if you didnt want to pick it up so it becomes hidden again. You could also enable always highlight (Z key) to always show loot drops and have them continuously displayed as well as chest etc. how it now works: Chaos orb drops and only the sound plays + light beam. there is NO initial highlight of the chaos orb as explained above. I can only see the drops if I continuously hold down alt or have always highlight (z key) enabled. ![]() What I've done to combat this: I've removed all loot filters and installed a new loot filter, I've even run without one and this issue still persists. I have swapped out loot allocation when in groups, to no avail. I have deleted the production_config.ini from my game folder and this solved the issue, HOWEVER I dont want to have to do this everytime the loot filter breaks, setting up key binds, graphical settings, sound options, ui settings etc. possible cause: Blighted map, or joining a group which causes loot allocation to jumble OR its a keybind that I do not know of? Any solution other than having to delete production_config.ini would be highly appreciated, thank you! Last bumped on Oct 28, 2019, 1:11:37 PM

By default press z will turn of your loot filter making so nothing is highlighted.

I've explained that I know what Z key does. and that this is not the issue.

From the looks of it the changes made in 3.8.1D patch might have broken this. |

Hmm idk when that came out, but like I posted this started about 2-3 weeks ago.
its super annoying, imagine having to run arround with always highlight on, especially on blighted maps. You cant even see anything with all the loot and have to disable it. It must be something with settings because deleting the production_config.ini solves the issue. But now that it has come back I dont want to have to do that again, because setting up all my preferences again each time this breaks is a huge pain.... |

Do you use a loot filter or are you using the default one?
When I tried it, even with deleting the file it for me only show the item if my mouse was near it when it was dropped. |

I am, however like I mentioned before, it used to work fine. A chaos/exalted/whatever dropped and would shortly highlight it without having to mouse over, afterwards it would fade to the background and highlight with a mouseover/hold Alt/always highlight(Z key) so thats why I'm so confused right now.

After reading your post I thought this was happening to me too. However after some more checking it looks like if you drop an item yourself, it won't show up temporarily, it will just be hidden instantly.
However if a monster stops the same item it will show temporarily as expected. This could be the reason why you noticed this happening. |

Check & Ensure that you didn't hide that rule in your filter.

" Sadly even if a monster drops an exalted orb I just hear the sound and see the beam of light but no initial highlight. I'm at a loss here, because having to play with z enabled on blighted maps for instance is a nightmare |
