Annointing everything!

Ok, if you think oil drop rate is fine, then what do you think about the main topic? Obviously, Annointing another 3~8 items would be power creep. I'm just saying it could be interesting and build enabling. For instance, being away from the bottom left of the tree makes it a struggle to get a life build, while being away from the top of the tree makes it hard to get an es build without str stacking. Having several unconnected notables could drastically improve viability of many builds, while allowing min-maxers to really cherry pick a stat like aura, curse, charge, or movement speed. You could see a discharge build with every charge from the tree lol.

Also, if everything could be anointed, maybe they could spread the lab enchants out? Bow skill enchants only on bows, auras only on helm, movement on boots, current boot enchants and glove enchants get removed or revamped and also limited, etc.

Since half the server now has fully annointed items it would only be fair to open it for all (not in a P2W way) from massive bug abuse gone un-punished and now those who did not abuse this very clear bug are feeling a little deflated. Either that or resolve the massive issue this has caused, did not think GGG would except this kind of behaviour never mind delete anything spoken about it any where.

Posting in a publicly read area about certain things is against tos. Deletion of said posts is not a reflection of backend policies or what GGG is working on. Ignoring the current situation and speaking hypothetically, what is your opinion on mass annointing?

I would prefere to fix the anointed items in stead of offering this option for all players.
Since there are very specific base types that are allowed to be anointed, they could delete the anointing dataset in the database for all items that doesn't belong to this item types.
This wouldn't punish the bug users (except the loss of the anointment cost) but it would at least restore the balance (for this point).
You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

I am sure abusing a bug to this level is or should also be against TOS.

As far as my opinion on the annointing i like the system and am fine with how it is now, opening it on all items would likely lead to some very OP builds and trivialise the game too much.

As far as my opinion on the fix for now i am concerned just removing the annoints does not punish correctly, the money that has been made in game and no doubt RMT has been ridiculous and this will not set the right precedence moving forward. I only felt opening it up to all now for this league only would be the best middle ground as they clearly wont ban anyone over it because it was far to wide spread.

"i also think it will bring back a large number of players as you already pointed it would make many build enabling possibilities and no doubt a lot of fun for a while until the just too OP builds are discovered (like the un-killable ones"

Without mentioning the current state of the game (your post will be removed if you do)

The current state of the game is fine.
If GGG were to make top end gear easier to craft then this:

would stop or be reduced and GGG would fear we'd get bored and quit (got T1 gear so it's game over man!). But I wonder if GGG views players this way:

GGG must keep the carrot and stick incentives to play PoE as strong as possible to get maximum player numbers to maximize the revenue stream (more players = more mtx purchases... at least in theory). So asking GGG to do something like making high end oils or red map drop rates more plentiful is not likely to happen anytime. But as GGG keeps going forward this strategy is starting to run out as players get tired of playing the same old starvation forever arpg that PoE is and coupled with forever ongoing QoP problems many players are quitting over the same old and tiresome problems.

"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

i can only imagine how it works. not going to attempt because that would be unethical. hope hands are slapped.
I think the current state of the game looks pretty good, at least worth mentioning.

Compared to the other arpgs available right now PoE is still (in light of the ever present QoP technical problems) a very good ride. In January Wolcen will be a full release and there are others working to dethrone GGG (maybe there will be a D4 anouncement at Blizzcon?) as the arpg leader. GGG will need to double down and really produce a great 4.0 to keep on riding this merry-go-round (time will tell).
