Annointing everything!

Without mentioning the current state of the game (your post will be removed if you do) let's discuss how people feel about that prospect. I think it could be a neat, extra bit of custimization if the rarity of oils was drastically reduced on the upper end. It'd be cool to see either/or enchant options like you could get annoint or a lab enchant. Defintly power creep though and the current rarity of oils plus GGG only balancing the game around the top 0.000000000000000001% would make most passive inaccessible for most players. I also really dont see any reason the new uniques can be anointed as part of their "unique" nature as the items seem to stand for themselves. It seems like the extra annoint was just thrown on there to make them seem league related.

You want the game to have no goals... only rewards. Lots of people do. Problem is that they will always want more. "What have you given us lately?" would be their battle cry.

Just no. There has to be rare stuff, or the game becomes pointless. You can trade up oils 3:1 so getting gold oils is simply a matter of playing the game at a high enough level long enough. Quit bitching that you're not being handed stuff.

I do agree that oils are rare. I've gotten more essences than I have oils from Blight. Something's messed up there.

Excuse me good sir, you are mistaken. I AM in that top percent and I have my amulet enchanted with Charisma. I was suggesting the 3 to 1 upsale doesn't make sense in this respect. Charisma is good, but it is not 500 chaos better than 30 str. They need to remove the 3 to 1 recipe after black or verdant oil and then drastically increase the drop rate of the higher oils. Currently, gold oil is more rare than 20 exalts and it is only going to be more rare after league. Gold oil should be more like half as rare as an exalt during this league and far less rare after it. That would still make charisma worth more than an exalt during this league, which seems reasonable.
Must be nice to be as sure of your opinions as you seem to be.

Empirically it is, since you bothered spending that much on it.

This is a game where an otherwise perfect item will go from 10 mirrors to 50ex for having t3 life rather than t1. Tiny changes can be worth a fortune. Why? Because the people seeking those tiny changes are minmaxing. When perfection is near impossible, people will pay insane amounts for it.

There are crafts in this game (and not just metacrafts, anymore) that cost 2ex+. From the bench. For builds that truly want these crafts, they are considered a *steal* at those prices, since they can be added to any appropriate gear with an open affix. One generally doesn't even question the desirability of spending that currency.

Who are you to decide that, exactly? You think we should have more access to a league mechanic after that mechanic is no longer the current league? The only thing that's ever happened with is Delve. I'm happy for it, but to say a league-specific item should be "far less rare" after league end than during the league is... strange.

All league content drops are less rare after the league ends because the league itself is much more rare. This is why you have 3 alva, einhar, and jun encounters per map. Breach splinters drop in drastically larger quantities than they ever did in breach league to make up for how much harder it is to get breaches. Sulphate has been getting easier and easier to obtain and GGG has ample pressure to increase the ability to access legion emblems. Even with the increased chances of getting league items after the league, the lack of the league itself is still a significant decrease in the ability to gain those items.
FIrst of all, I think anointing everything would trivialize building and would it make even easier to create faceroll 1 minute per map builds. We've already got alot of powercreep in the game, so I don't think offering to much anointments would help.

Full agree on this. maybe dependant on tier, but i wouldn't like to see anything above black oil in the t11+ map recipie.

Not sure why you think the rarest oil should be a common drop. It's not like you need dozens of them.
Annointing amulet is big power spike for some buids without random factor, and you can buy oils from other players.
Oil drop rate is fine for trade leagues.
