Question about using Soutbound Gloves on AG

Im just curious why we use southbound on animated guardian?

i understand that the +%health is nice is for AG,
but it also says ;its hits can only kill frozen enemies !?

my question is this , does this not effect the AG ? or am i missing something else ?

AGs are geared for 2 reasons: utility and survivability (to protect your utility investment)

Ability to kill never enters the equation

Yeah i understand that we indeed want to protect the gear on the AG.

But if he ever get stuck somewhere alone with an enemy he cant fight back.

Or is that just overthinking it?

Southbound is the old best-in-slot gloves for AG because they were cheap so easy to get corrupted curse on and had some decent health on them. The new beat-in-slot gloves are for the new, much more expensive AG that uses Kingmaker. The new gloves are Maligaro's Generosity and they are super expensive to get corrupts on. I'm also the only one in the game currently using the full new AG setup because it's new and I haven't personally written a guide for it. Fyi, check out the notable "grave intentions" combined with the helmet "mask of the stitched deamon". You can get some interesting body armours with that combo keeping the AG alive.


To be clear: AG is a tiny fraction of your total dps unless you have a wierd AG dedicated build if that is even a thing. AG should be geared as a support minion and if you can get some dps out of him that is a bonus
