Guys I've got a question on my chest armor.
I've roll these prefix P1. (101–110)% increased Energy Shield P2. (39–42)% increased Energy Shield (16–17)% increased Stun and Block Recovery S1. +(31–35)% to Chaos Resistance S2. +(36–41)% to Lightning Resistance So got a total 152% increase ES and total 460 ES on the chest So technically if I benchcraft Gain (7–8)% of Maximum Life as Extra Maximum Energy Shield (approx 5k hp or 350ES) on to the armor I should get roughly 350 x 1.52 = 532 ES But how come it still display 460ES on the armor chest? How does this (7–8)% of Maximum Life as Extra Maximum Energy Shield works? Is it a flat increase to the total ES? does it get the multiplier from the chest increase ES? Would it be better if I just benchcraft +(56–69) to maximum Energy Shield on it? Thanks Last bumped on Sep 27, 2019, 4:20:43 AM

(7–8)% of Maximum Life as Extra Maximum Energy Shield refers to your character life/ES, not to the item.

Hey,
thats more than one question ;) Okay, first of all, the % es on the chest only works with the flat es you crafted on the item. The % of max life as max es doesn't count toward the flat es of the body. because of this it doesn't get displayed. Doing this would also cause alot of problems, since it's a value that depends on the wearer and not just the item itself. As far as I know the wording policy at PoE, you get the % of your max hp (in this case the final value displayed on your health bar, including all % increased etc.) added as max es (on top of your max es without this mod, after all modifications are added). For your final question, I would check at PoB, but my feeling says that you'll get more ES if you craft flat ES on the body in stead of the % max life as max es. You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

Does that mean crafting flat +(56–69) to maximum Energy Shield on the armor would be better? as the ES on the chest will benefit from our passive (7–8)% of Maximum Life as Extra Maximum Energy Shield won't. " Thank you! Last edited by sengson3rd#0444 on Sep 27, 2019, 4:21:47 AM
