Loreweave with only 5 sockets

I crafted my loreweave to 5 sockets (to get 5R1B), but can't make it 6 sockets again, with crafting bench or jeweller's orb.

With crafting bench: Crafting failed: Item has fixed sockets.
With jeweller's orb: Failed to apply item: Item already has the maximum number of Sockets.

The loreweave is low lvl, just make it 2 sockets and then use jewelers orb that will fix the problem.

You should read the wiki first:

The mod Has 6 Sockets ignores this limit and grants the item six sockets to begin with. One can reduce the amount of sockets with Vorici's Artisan bench, but can not use the bench to get back to six sockets (attempting to do so results in a "Item has fixed Sockets" error message).
Using Jeweller's Orbs on a Loreweave is only possible when the socket amount was lowered below the natural socket maximum from item level. In this case a single Jeweller's Orb restores the item to six sockets. Note that one risks getting stuck at two sockets if the item level is 1, as two sockets then counts as fully socketed which prevents the use of Jeweller's Orbs and the Artisan bench cannot force one socket.

Why yes, yes it will. Would he rather have 6 sockets or keep it like it is? Only one is possible.

I did as @jackof8lades said, craft it to 2 sockets, and so lucky to make it 5R1B at my first try.

Just curious about the explanation @Rohan13 mentioned, why it can be crafted to a lower socket number status with the mod "has 6 sockets"? Mighty masters can make things happen against the law of the world?

Yes, Masters can. They also allow you to change sockets and links on corrupted items which are not supposed to be modifyable.
