Dash range

It seems awful that you can't use Dash to cross a broken mini-bridge just west of the A2 town, for example. What's the point of it if you cannot even jump minor gaps? Flame dash has a farther movement and can be used 3x in a row. I'm fairly new but I definitely don't understand...

Dash and frostblink are two skills I never understood why they were added to the game.

They should have just reduced the level requirement of all the other travel skills and put them as the level 3 or whatever it is quest reward.

Just use it for 10 levels and when you get flamedash or whatever travel skill you prefer toss the dash gem by the wayside.
Dash is more of a combat reaction skill than it is a travel skill. It's faster (read: instant) unlike the other skills.

But yes, if you treat it like something it's not, of course it will "suck".
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Dash is an amazing skill, especially for bow characters that need to quickly dodge. It's not reliant on cast or attack speed and quickly gets you out of trouble. It's not used for travelling, as is the case with flame dash or other similar skills.
And you can move backwards with Dash, which can be quite helpful too.

They added dash because they wanted to give it to Skeletons.
Dash is a great skill to just don't get hit.

And on skeletons it is a fantastic skill.

I hated Dash last league - dumped it for a poorly leveled flame dash + faster casting on a Facebreaker champ and was immediately happier with flame dash (even a lvl 1 flame dash vs a lvl 19 dash)

With dash's poor range and no charges I'd have too many cases where it misfired (see - don't move at all!) and then I'd be SOL. Flame dash seemed to misfire a lot less, you had multiple charges for chain dodging when needed, and it had a lot of extra range.
