Those torch throwing cannibals suddenly hits REALLY HARD

Since blight update these guys seem to hit really hard even with my current 4.6k hp and 75% fire res im taking 800 damage per torch hit and if its a 2 extra proj map... ew.

Tell me its not just me.

They aren't talking about the fire-eaters that use incinerate effects those huys have always been close-range destroyers. Normal cannibals that open up by tossing their torch at you have suddenly started doing bonkers damage. And it really seems new in blight.

I was noticing the same thing in t16 the other day. Usually getting tagged by a projectile is unpleasant but survivable- but these guys were doing legion spear thrower level of damage if not more.
Yes those ones. Even im just running yellow tier map with no dangerous mods at all they can hit for some extraordinary damage. It doesnt feel right at all.

necro post 5 years later...

Yep these guys are still doing BONKERS damage, i'm more afraid of them than porqupines.

turbo + extra damage + extra proj , heck you throw crit in there it's gg if you don't have a jump on them first with a zoomie freezing character.

97 trying for 100 and 95% of my deaths are from them throwing torches at me from off screen, so nice.
GGG, please nerf the torch throwing cannibals. Why are they throwing projectiles from behind the screen? This is 100% death (((
The fire blasting skeletons are also overtuned, so are the fire goatmen.
Of course they are doable but somewhat senseless random encounters, considering the boss is often nothing even close.
