Herald of purity + Minion Instability?

So I've checked the numbers for fun and I manage to get over 100k Life on the herald of purity minions.
With the Minion instability and minion damage stuff I was able to get quite a good explosion damage. Add in the Siegebreaker cheap unique belt and you deal a fairly good amount of Chaos damage afterthe explosion.

Basically I'm trying to make a Herald of Nuclear bomb. The only real issue is, I am looking for a good way to resummon the minions during boss fights and a good way to kill trash mobs.

I was thinking about using doryani's fist, but it sounds risky for a minion build. There was also Kinetic blast, but I'm not sure how constant the hits are.

Any help?

acually resummoning against rare and unique monsters should be fine because all you need is to hit them rapidly (storm brand, ball lightning,..)

but for clearing there would be a problem because YOU have to kill the stuff to resumon them, kills made by your minions will not count

also with the current fast pace of the game, it would not be enough for clearing, it would take too long to detonate them and resumonning would be slow and complicated.. Im now in mid tier maps with my skeleton bomb build, they detonate in cca 0.85 seconds, I can resummon them rapidly wherever I want but I feel its still too slow and will have to add the "minion damage taken" jewel to further reduce the "kill time"

I'm not too much into the speed freak meta game. But I can see why it can be a problem in higher maps.
Ball lighting might be the best option for clear and fast hitting bosses.
Should I go fast projectile + GMP for clearing or another skill completly?

Maybe Lighting Spire traps for bosses and Ball Lighting for clear would be a better option. I would keep the mobility agaisn't bosses, unless Trap rework make it VERY slow to play with outside the saboteur class.

Or purifying flame for clear AND bosses
Just need good cast speed for bosses and the herald would give a nice little damage boost.

Anyone can help sustain the herald of purity.
I don't mind trying it out, but I'm not sure about which skill to use for it.
To get those up numbers, did you use minion gear, or 2x cold iron? Just curious!
There was only "The comming calamity" and "Siege breaker" for gears, I didn't not theoricraft more than that since I know most of the gears are not accessible to most players, including me.
All of the numbers are from 2 uniques and skill tree at level 80, it my usual standard to quick check how viable an idea is.

Edit: Thanks for the Cold Iron Point unique. I didn't expect it to be so important to this build. I will do this build when I farmed a couple of currencies for the different pieces.

Cold Iron Point won't work with Minion Instability builds because you can't deal elemental damage and minion explosions are fire damage.

But doesn't the word imply that the dagger and therefore YOU (the character), are not dealing elemental damage and not your minion since they can't equip anything.

Giving it to a Animated guardian would prevent him from doing elemental damage, that make sense since it is equipping the weapon.

The weapon sound similar to Avatar of Fire "Deal no Non-Fire Damage" it wont affect your minions, why would this item act differently?

Your minions can still deal elemental damage. Only you can't. The minion explosions are damage from the minions, not from you.

Now, if you were doing something crazy like a volatile dead build with Aukuna's Will (for minions that are corpses), that would fail with Cold Iron Point.

But for minion instability, everything's fine.
Still not 100% sure if Purifying flame is a good choice for killing mobs and hitting bosses for the Sentinel generation.
Anyone with more experience with with using Purifying flame, how good is it to kill map mobs in general?
