My suggestion would be to start using impale. You may have a reduction in damage early on but as your gear improves you'll get higher damage that way. If you don't want that then of course don't take the impale nodes. It's just 3 points anyway. You can get aspect of the lynx instead. 2. It's useless. All your gear needs an upgrade and you can get much better quite cheaply. For example a belt with life and resists is 1-2c. Your two-stone ring is very bad. You can get life+res for a couple of c. A 6L belly is currently 200c+. That's way too much if you can't afford 1-2c items. Just get a 6L with life and res. I sold one yesterday for 20c, that's much easier to get and you can spend the rest on all your other gear. You need a good sword to use with the saviour because the saviour has low DPS. Was weary of your warning that it has a bit of reduced clear speed compared to ruthless and I needed to clear maps fast for currency but i'd have to level impale support anyway so i'll start doing that now. By the way, on the PoB there's no Chaos Resistance and it's at -60%. I always made it priority to at least be above 0%. Are we that tanky that we don't need it even when encountering chaos damage dealers? (I'm not really sure when or where I encounter them but i'm guessing alva's maps are chaos / atziri?) It's better to use impale in the long term. I think the last time I had positive chaos res was when I made my third char 5 years ago (well with the exception of CI). I didn't know much about the game. Before metamorph there was no reason to have any chaos res. Now there is some chaos damage (mainly DoT) but in most cases I find it not worth bothering with chaos res. Of course if you feel you need it take some. That's interesting, not getting some is tempting as it makes equipment easier to get but I do a lot of varied maps and am trying out a bunch of content and I don't want to suddenly die from just chaos damage. Might keep it above 0% just to be safe and as I learn the game more I might also be smart enough to have it remain at -60%. Thanks a lot! Really having fun with the build! I love this build so far, it's so tanky, ty Aias for your work. But I'm missing some DPS in High T16 / ilv83 Contracts. Here is my Gear: Do you have some advice which should I upgrade first? My budget is about 6 Ex, so the watcher's eye is not a option atm. Also I tried some alt. Gems like Divergent Brutality, which adds overwhelm phys. reduction - do you think that is more worth then incr. phys dmg? Thanks in advance! You should start by getting better swords. You can get an armour with crit chance or just craft block and get 2 high PDPS swords. Any pride watcher's eye would help. Is you chance to impale 100%? If not you need to work on that. Drop that hybrid flask. A simple sulphur is better. Also no need for a QS, use leap slam and get a silver. " grigrez wrote: Use this build on HC. Added a section on alt quality gems in the end of the gem section. Nothing very important but some nice and useful options there.
