... Fuckin' slowmotion - datamining-trojaner - called Windows 10 ...

I just restarted my Windows for checking "winver" :

Windows 10 Pro

Version 1903 (Build 18362.295)

I noticed better booting times indeed since last big upgrade.

But that does not change the fact that im now about 2 mins on desktop and my hdds still make sound...

In Linux all would be calm in this time, running from system memory

I dont know what this system loads all the time. Have nearly nothing in autostart...

switching back to linux, hearing music, surfing etc.

At the moment my games become more boring every day. maybe in winter it becomes better again...

Linux Load Level - after only booting 2 mins all is done and calm. My firefox Bookmark history is called "library" when synchronizing with the cloud. So the firefox really needs memory when open.

After 5 mins of uptime only all is calm with common 10.000 spins-magnet-hdds and running on low level usage as you can see here :

1-8 - Load of the CPU-Cores

Considering the speeds at which hardware moved forward, especially from around 2004 up till 2018, basically anything older than a year was considered outdated, and anything above 5 years of age, ancient.

If you are running 10+ years old system, no matter if it's some sort of i7 and whatever amount of ram, it's ancient tech. The numbers mean nothing. The fact that you use a HDD in 2019 as your drive says just about enough. I have porn on my HDD, loads of it, but not a single game, software or god forbid my OS.

That all being said tho, windows 10 requires a lot of tinkering to get it working smoothly because at the start of it's lifespan it was basically a bloatware on gigantic proportions, and even tho Microsoft patched most of annoyances out, user input is required to get rid of/turn off a bunch of useless stuff, at which point the OS is at a level i happily am using it over anything else.

But again - if you install something like windows 10 on a system from stone age, you shouldn't be wondering about performance issues, especially if you do it on a HDD.

No rest for the wicked.
