Any way to show translation between languages?

Greetings!
My friend is playing PoE in german, I'm playing in english... There's always confusion when anyone wants to tell something about a specific gem, item or so. For example: I want to tell him about the Dash gem, but I'm clueless what it's called in german. Is there any way to show a quick translation, like when pressing a hotkey it shows both english and german description? Or any other solution to this language barrier? No forum tool afaik, but google translate works just fine.

It didn't translate Dash. :D
Google translator probably doesn't know how things were translated in PoE. Unfortunately my friend is playing on PS4 and I'm on PC, so there's no way to just link an item in the chat. There are those PoE Wiki pages, but they also don't have a translation - when you type in Dash in german Wiki, there are no results... Last edited by Norac#6923 on Aug 28, 2019, 11:44:22 AM

GGG should have a list of their own for internal use (localization) but I don't think they will make that available.
So the only public official list is the one we can find here: https://www.pathofexile.com/item-data. Just change the forum language to access the translated version. If I have the time, I also sometimes use the official trade site. Last edited by Zphyr#7004 on Aug 28, 2019, 12:50:05 PM

Link the gem in chat. He'll see it in German.

Probably "Eile" or some sort.
You could go on a merry adventure and reinstall PoE in German. Sadly that doesn't reset all the voice acting in the game to German. Imagine catching Guff and interrogating him, but instead of his pirate jargon, he blabs in a heavily salted, tobacco-stained Hamburg mumble. Cameria would be some sort of abominable mountain man living in a snow break and you would have to clean the Hohe Tauern or the Matterhorn out of your headphones afterwards.
