Speeding up Campaign for Char 2, 3, 4 etc

What?
Everytime you activate a waypoint, every other (future) character in your Account has the same waypoint activated.

Why?
Simply put, it would speed up the leveling of multiple characters. I would love to level many characters each league but doing this 10 act tutorial over and over and over and over again? zZzZzZz

Could you just skip to the end?
No, well, a bit.
You have to unlock the a new act and its waypoints by defeating the act boss and the blocked paths like the undying blockage in act 3 need to be cleared like always.
So you cant jump to act 10 right away.
(I wouldn't mind an adventure mode like D3 has tho...98% of content is after campaign anyways)

Just a suggestion, no "git gud" or other forms of insults/bitching please

There is already easy access to leveling uniques and other items that make leveling up way fasterpast thefirst character.

Having already activated waypoint would change pretty much nothing anyway, seriously.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Activated waypoints change the playthrough for an act massively. If you've ever asked a friend to provide you with them then you would've seen the difference.

While speed-runners can get through Act 1-10 in 4 hours or less ( 2 1/2 being the record right now) the common player needs 10+ usually, many even close to 20.

With Waypoints that would be cut down to 5-10 at least, which is a start.

I would like to add something to that whole notion though: If that is done there will be an issue with underleveling at times. Hence after beating Kitava Act 10 I would love to see the option to unlock a special mode for easier access to mapping. This could be done by increasing the mob-density quite a bit, offsetting the lost leveling-speed from the lack of mobs during lower-leveled content.
GGG balance is like getting a pizza which is burnt on the sides, raw in the middle and misses the most of the toppings.
Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease.
Everything fixed but still broken.

a) nice numbers pulled out of your magic hat.

b) 10-20 -> 5-10 ?

No, unless being very, very inefficient, which is likely the case of somebody that has either not actually been through the acts "over and over", or somebody that isn't even trying to put any effort in being quicker ... and I don't quite see why the game should make things quicker when a simple effort could be made instead.

It would also simply dumb down the game after the first playthrough ... so nop.

This is one those things to complain about that you shouldn't complain about. It's like saying it's hot outside when it's hot outside. Yeah, it's hot, it's hot for everyone. The person you're complaining too feels it too, everyone does.

If you want to get to the end-game in Path of Exile, you progress through the story. How you do that is up to you. There are many options open to you, get boosted by a friend, only do main quests or just do everything. One thing is for sure, you're going to have to get through the story. Waypoints are found along the way in that story.

Personally, I think levelling is the most interesting part of the game play, most of the time. That's when you grow your build. It's about the journey to me, not the end. Either way though, this is one journey we all have to make.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.

Because the campaign feels so fresh, new and super exciting after having it done a few times per league for years, right?

This...makes no sense? We are not talking about weather we can't control.

there are races based around speed levelling.
these can be driving force to play ssf or hc for many players.
its important for every player to be equal while playing their first, 2nd or 3rd character.
so no. this aint no pvp this is a pve game. you dont get an easy campaign just cuz you made a broke a$$ character.
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

It was a metaphor, mate. You can't control the weather as much as you can't control having to go through the story to get to end-game in PoE. You can like it or not, it's a fact for everyone, so make your choice accordingly, like all of us do.
