Does cyclone not work with 1handed maces?

On console, cyclone doesnt work when i equip the Frostbreath mace. Didn't think there were any weapon restrictions to this skill.

I figured out the mistake i made, i had cyclone linked to Close Combat which does not support maces. Appreciate the help friend
