How to craft a 6 link (and is it worth it?)

Hello guys,

first of all, I want to mention, that I am completely new to the game.
I started playing with Legion and I maanged to get into maps.
I follow a build guide from youtube and get along okay.
My main char is a cyclone slayer.

Yesterday evening, in my first T6 map, a Carcass_Jack dropped.
First I was so excited, cause this piece of armor is a great update to my current gear.
Then I saw it has 5 sockets, 4 links.
So now I wonder, how do I get it 6 sockets, 6 links, in the right colors I need.
I googled and searched on youtube to find that there are recepies you can find by delve deep down.
(I haven´t done much delving yet).
And that it then still needs a lot of currency.
So my question is: is that the way to go?
Or is it more efficient just to farm stuff until you get the currency to buy a six linked one.
(note: I play on playstation, so there is no such thing as poe trade).
I also not on restarting with the new league - I want to transistion to standard since I don´t want to loos my progress.
So I wouldn´t have the need to do the process within this week.

Trading is the best option. Without crafting bench recipe it can take you several thousands of fusings to get six links if your unlucky. Ofc you could also get lucky and get 6 links after your first fusing but that's highly unlikely so i wouldn't count on it.

If you are the slow and patient type of player you can try doing it yourself, im currently saving up fusings to six link my self made loreweave. But if you want to have the upgrade quick then trading is your way to go. Generally trading is always better than farming in this game.

There is also a prophecy that makes an 6-link with one jewelers but it is rare (and expensive). As said before either you try your luck with fusings or you farm for a guaranteed.

After checking the trade market on the PS4 I didn´t even found a 6-link carcass jack.
And the five links were listed for like 5 exalted orbs and higher...
I think I might keep my carcass jack and see it as a long term project.
Dunno where I should get that many exalted orbs from rather then if I am able to find a good 6 link armor then.

I think delving deep and looking for that recipie seems the way to go.

and the market is exactly why I didnt continue on PS4.

The PS4 seems crazy from what I have seen. Not much in trade and what is there can be so expensive that you might as well be playing SSF.

Your options for either a 5 or 6L are pretty much:
..Divination cards
..Vorici recipes from the mines
..RNG

The Vorici 5L is not bad at 150 fuses for a certain 5L. I wouldn't do that on the PC where you can get the 5L prophecy for < 10c, or buy some 5Ls for even less than the prophecy. But for SSF or PS/XBOx markets, it's a great option.

You can also up the quality to 30% and try RNG. There are a lot of guys who say it's way more likely to hit one, but nobody has actual probabilities. A few people saying they hit a couple of 6-links in 300 fuses tells you nothing about the average. I'm sure quality helps, but there is still risk.

Don´t have a pc which is able to run the game - so no other option then ps4...
I just try to see it as SSF most of the time ;)

It won't help you linking your carcass jack, but if you're looking for any 6 link then "The Dapper Prodigy" Divination card might be your best bet. I got 3 six link armors out of it just by farming Residence map every now and then. Totally possible to get 6 links this way as an SSF player.
