Looking for a Math major.

So I traded a shield with 2 open Exalt slots and the odds were 7/10 to hit a beneficial stat.

7 good stats and 3 bad ones.

What are the chances of him hitting both bad stats. Is probability or odds the more accurate figure? I don't even know the difference >_<

It would be 7/10 first roll, then 7/9 on the second roll. That's as far as I get.

BTW, it happened.

Considering exalted orbs can only roll two stats, thorns and block and stun recovery, i'd say it was about a 100% chance.
Need halp

is it 3/10 * 2/9 = .0666666

or a 6.66% chance?!?

.....

let me rephrase this so it will be easier for you to see.

(assuming that you can't have duplicated stat and all stats have equal chance of being drawn)

You have a bag of 10 marbles, 7 red and 3 blue.
You will draw the marbles twice WITHOUT placing it back.
What are the chances of getting red marbles in both draw?

1 - (3/10) x (2/9)
