I cannot use ground slam skill with mace.

I recently bought one-handed mace(Ancestral Club) and it doesn't work with ground slam. what's wrong with it?
Ground slam The character slams the ground in front of them with a Staff, Axe or Mace, creating a wave that travels forward and damages enemies with an increased chance to stun. The wave deals more damage to closer enemies. Last bumped on Aug 6, 2019, 9:10:21 PM
