Why musicians who are PoE fans weep.

Gibbousmoon, thank you for the great suggestion!
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
I see a lot of people advocating a jukebox, and while I agree that it would be great to have one, I want to emphasize that putting a hideout music = on/off option in the options would be FAR less work.

Therefore, I'd really REALLY like GGG to do that first. Before they even begin exploring a jukebox option.

That one small change alone will be a game changer (quite literally) for many.

it baffles me to see people playing poe with ingame sounds/music on.

I don't imagine a list of all the things that baffle you but actually make sense with a little contemplation would be particularly short.

I try to keep my suggestions within the intersection of doable/reasonable/justified, and some sort of music selection in the hideout seems to hit all three. It'd be a meta feature that allows people to more fully appreciate Kamil's astounding work because honestly, sometimes the gameplay just doesn't lend itself well to paying attention to what's going on in the background.

Don't ask for an inch when they should be going the extra mile. They'll give you that inch and make you feel thankful for it.

Been asking for that one inch for years, though.

I can only guess it still hasn't been implemented because someone in the meeting room said, "Let's save this for the jukebox," and then it gets buried under other priorities.

This is one of those rare instances in which the cost/benefit ratio is super tiny. Every year that goes by without it is an enormous waste of composer talent.

Adgio did none of the music for Act 4, so the Act 4 stuff is still in the current OST that you get for supporting. The OG OST, which is no longer available in any official capacity, only goes up to Act 3.

Which bums me out, because I prefer the old act 1 Lioneye's Watch music over the new track. I especially loved the lengthy, progressively creepy music in the old Solaris/Lunaris temples in act 3. To see them stricken entirely from the OST is pretty sad.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

No hideout music but BGM everywhere else is an idea I can get behind.
